By using an acoustically transparent screen we can install the acoustic treatments and the speakers behind the screen. This hides the speakers for a clean look, helps to control the room acoustics, and the sound seemingly comes directly from the image ...giving you a realistic cinema experience right at home.
In the upper right picture, the sound is emanating from the airplane on right side of the screen and it follows the image across the screen exactly how the film editors intended. The result is an immersive experience THX calls "The Science of Sensation".
Truly Custom
This customer requested a home theater that would double as a standup comedy stage. We used professional stage lighting, electric curtains and hid an automated projection screen in the proscenium arch. The room automatically transforms from a home theater to a performing arts stage with a single button on the iPad controller. We used a phantom center channel to preserve the effect of sound coming from the middle of the screen.

Maybe you want a great sound system only when the TV is on... The sound system in the above pictures discreetly hides away when not in use, but when you turn it on the speakers drop down out of the ceiling and point directly at the seating position. The result is a wow factor both when it's off, and when it's on.
