Eric Edelen is the owner, lead designer and installation foreman at Genesis AV.
In his words: “The funny thing about AV systems is that they must be amazing… and that’s purely subjective. Identifying a customers expectations and exceeding them is challenging and rewarding.
I have over 30 years of experience designing and building sound systems. My first commercial installation was St Mathew’s Church in 1987 when I was 17 years old.
I have designed and built sound systems for countless churches, auditoriums, convention centers, hotels, dance clubs, touring rock concerts, offices and even personal homes.
I became THX Certified for theater design in 2007 and I’ve installed many amazing home theaters. Considering picture, sound, and price, I’m convinced my theaters are some of the best in Montana.
I have worked with many famous artists and spent 4 years on the road running sound and lights for concerts.
I take pride in my work and love what I do.
I am a single dad with four great teenagers and I often tell them how important it is to love your job. If you love what you do, you will naturally excel at it.”

AV systems are complex and have hundreds parts. Each one must be custom designed to meet specific requirements. But from large auditoriums and convention centers to small churches and home theaters, they all have four things in common:
They must be easy to use - A concert PA is necessarily complex, and it’s run by an experienced audio engineer. But in a church or home theater it must be radically simplified so that literally anyone can use it.
They must be absolutely reliable for years of trouble free service. Not only that, but it must be adaptable to new technologies and resistant to obsolescence.
They must be completed on time and on budget - Every project has a budget and I pride myself in making my quotes accurate.
The experience must be amazing. There is no greater joy for me than introducing a customer to their new system and seeing their eyes light up and a grin on their face.
